I compare different ways of explaining a model and try to work out when they show something consistent, and when they only look convincing.

Antes de chegar à Ciência da Computação, cursei Matemática na UFPR e fiz o curso de Aprendizagem Industrial em Eletricista de Manutenção Eletroeletrônica pelo SENAI, enquanto trabalhava como aprendiz na Petrobras. Foram experiências bem diferentes, mas que acabaram influenciando bastante a forma como gosto de aprender.
Hoje, trabalho com desenvolvimento de software e faço iniciação científica em Inteligência Artificial Explicável (XAI) na UFPR. Gosto principalmente de coisas que começam com um problema real ou uma curiosidade e acabam me fazendo pesquisar, testar, errar, refazer e construir alguma coisa para entender melhor.
Também gosto de compartilhar o que aprendo. Já dei aulas particulares de Matemática e fui monitor de Fundamentos de Programação. Explicar um assunto para outra pessoa quase sempre me obriga a entendê-lo melhor também, e isso acabou virando uma parte importante da forma como eu estudo e trabalho.
Before getting to Computer Science, I studied Mathematics at UFPR and took the industrial apprenticeship in electrical and electronics maintenance at SENAI, while working as an apprentice at Petrobras. They were very different experiences, but they ended up shaping the way I like to learn.
These days I work with software development and do undergraduate research in Explainable AI (XAI) at UFPR. I mostly like things that start with a real problem or a curiosity and end up making me research, test, fail, redo and build something to understand it better.
I also like sharing what I learn. I have privately tutored Mathematics and was a teaching assistant for Fundamentals of Programming. Explaining something to someone else almost always forces me to understand it better myself too, and that ended up becoming an important part of how I study and work.
